Speyer

After a sad farewell dinner, it was good bye to my wonderful study abroad group.

I moved into my Aunt and Uncle's apartment for the next week and a half. We took a day trip to Speyer.

The town itself has been around since 10 BC when the first Roman military camp was established there.  In 1030, emperor Conrad II began construction on the cathedral known today as Speyer Cathedral.

We started off the Sunday by going to mass then we climbed to the newly opened tower and saw an amazing view of the town.

So tourist, taking a selfie while holding my English audio guide.

Protestant Church also nice.

Berlin!

Woke up and left Heidelberg at 5:30 in the morning for a 7 hour bus ride to Germany's capital.

First thing we see is Hotel Adlon, where that whole Michael Jackson baby dangling episode happened.
The Brandenburg Gate.
